International research team

Our team works mainly in Brazil, Colombia and Peru, where we propose two levels of work: macro-scale research in case study territories using mixed qualitative and quantitative methods; and a series of micro-scale studies with specific communities in the field, strongly based on ethnographic and participatory research approaches.

This is complemented by work on an international scale, integrating research findings with broader studies on inequality, participation, wellbeing, cross-risk and recovery in the face of a pandemic in Latin America and the world. It is directly based on our recent work on disaster recovery trajectories and representations and is interconnected with ongoing collaborative research and action activities generated by each partner with marginalised communities.
